L’équipe du centre du sommeil de Bichat a à cœur d’accueillir les patients et leur famille au mieux tant lors de l’étape diagnostique que dans le suivi de ces pathologies chroniques, au fort coût humain et social.
Nous travaillons en lien avec le réseau des centres de référence et de compétences du territoire pour faire bénéficier nos patients des dernières avancées scientifiques. Nous participons à des réseaux de soins ville-hôpital dans l’objectif de favoriser l’accès aux soins, pour ces pathologies méconnues et faisant l’objet de retards diagnostiques, Réseau Hypnos et Réseau Morphée. Nous faisons aussi le lien avec l’association de patients ANC. »

Le centre du sommeil fait partie du service de Physiologie Clinique – Explorations Fonctionnelles de l’hôpital Bichat.
Nous y assurons le diagnostic et le suivi de l’ensemble des pathologies du sommeil et de la vigilance, grâce à une activité de consultations et un secteur d’hospitalisation dédiés aux explorations du sommeil et de la vigilance.
L’insertion du centre du sommeil dans le service de Physiologie Clinique – Explorations Fonctionnelles permet un accès facilité au suivi et explorations cardiovasculaires et métaboliques des pathologies chroniques associées du fait de la pathologie elle-même ou susceptibles de survenir en lien avec les traitements nécessaires.
Nous travaillons au sein du Groupe Hospitalo-Universitaire Paris-Nord avec le centre de référence pédiatrique des Hypersomnies rares – Narcolepsies de l’hôpital Robert-Debré.

L’activité de recherche du service dans le champ des hypersomnie – narcolepsie est clinique, avec la participation aux études d’évaluation d’impact de la maladie en terme par exemple de handicap social et scolaire, et aux études de recherche clinique concernant les nouveaux médicaments éveillants. Ces études sont multicentriques et menées dans le réseau des centres de référence et de compétence.
